Last night, Stanford faced USC for the third time in a year, this time at home on the farm. Stanford won once again, with a final score of 27-10.
Last year, I had the privilege to shoot a pregnancy announcement for my dear friends Sam and Tyler, when they first learned the news about their little bundle of joy. Of course by now, they have their beautiful baby girl!
My camera hasn’t been doing much else besides gathering dust in the book shelf as of late. On Saturday morning, we ventured to Mavericks, the world-renowned (in)famous surf spot in Half Moon Bay, CA. Only one day prior to these pictures being taken, the El Nino-spurred waves had reached a height of 50-60 feet. TitansContinue reading “Mavericks”
Mattias came to visit this past weekend, so we headed out to the beach in Pacifica for the day to visit old family friends and enjoy the beautiful weather we are currently experiencing. A couple of these pictures are from Friday at the train station after work, however.
Near our apartment is a hill that seems like the highest point for miles. Nathaniel and I have tried to find the base of it to hike up in the past, but could never quite find it just by following our map. He googled around, though, and figured out that it’s a public park. TodayContinue reading “Laurelwood Park Hike”
The exploration of California continued today with a trip to Bedwell Bayfront Park, which is about 20 minutes from our apartment. While we walked around the park, which is surrounded by salt flats up until the ocean, Nathaniel asked me what my expectations for a shooting location were. Essentially, he asked me if I wasContinue reading “Bedwell Bayfront Park”
On Sunday morning, Nathaniel and I went to Orangetheory Fitness, which he is a seasoned veteran in and I was a newbie (and it showed!) It’s an intense hour-long workout involving treadmill, stationary rowing, and weights. Each workout is different, so you never do the same routine twice. Prior to the workout, you are providedContinue reading “Two-a-Day Sunday”
On Saturday afternoon, we made our way out to the coast (where I’m from!) and went to Half Moon Bay State Beach. We brought along the football and my camera, hoping for a good game of catch and maybe some decent pictures that might end up on some of our blank apartment walls. When weContinue reading “Accidental Whale Watching”
Last night, Nathaniel and I took a walk to a park close by our house to throw the baseball around. Naturally, I brought my camera with me in case I saw anything noteworthy. The stars of the shoot ended up being a few birds and a squirrel which were less than pleased to have usContinue reading “An Evening in Twin Pines Park”
